Administrative history

A committee was created in the fall of 2006 to organize the celebration of the Town of Carberry's 125 Anniversary of its incorporation. Shauna McKinnon, the town's Economic Development Officer, and Stuart Olmstead, a town counciller, were named co-chairs of the committee. Members of the committee were various interested persons representing some town organizations, plus interested citizens.

Custodial history

Records have been presented to Carberry Plains Archives by Wayne Blair, Mayor of Carberry and father of the two composers.

Scope and content

The fonds consists of two sheets of paper, one containing the words to the Carberry 125th Celebration Song, and the other containing the accompanying music for the song. The words and music to the song were created by Kathy Blair Kopytko and Becky Nikolaisen, daughters of Carberry's current Mayor, Wayne Blair.
