The parish of St Peter-in-the-Pines, Camper first appears in the Synod Journals in 1943. It was served by St Michael, Ashern and was associated with St George, Faulkner (OW.028), as well as Steep Rock and Woodale. Camper was served primarily by Bishop's Messengers and student clergy in the summer months. In 1954 a small building was donated and used for a church. The building was secularized on 17 June 1966.
