Administrative history

The Calvary Pentecostal Church of Carberry, Manitoba was established some time prior to 1930 to provide religious services to citizens of the area. It closed in 1995. Meetings were held in a variety of places until the church built its own building in 1942. In 1947 the old Mission and parsonage were dismantled and a new parsonage was erected. Reverend Don Mitchell began service there in 1979.

Custodial history

Records have been presented to the Carberry Plains Archives in 1991 by Norris Mills of Carberry.

Scope and content

Fonds consists of a history of the church written by Norris Mills, who compiled information from 1980 onward, and written for the period prior to that by Reverend Donald Mitchell. Includes names of Pastors since 1930 as well as long-term volunteers.
