Administrative history
The Two-Spirit & Queer People of Colour: A Call to Conversation with LGBT & Allies was a conference hosted by the University of Winnipeg in partnership with Two-Spirited People of Manitoba and QTPOC Winnipeg from October 20-22, 2017. The conference was organized to foreground Two-Spirit and Queer People of Colour realities and focus on intersections between these communities. C2C intended to bring together leading national and international Two-Spirit and Queer People of Colour scholars and LGBTQ and cisgender heterosexual allies to engage in conversations that highlight where the communities intersect, what efforts are needed to reconcile relationships, and celebrate the gifts and achievements of the communities. Themes of the conference included: history, origin, and resurgence; family; education; institutions; and creative practice.
