The Brandon Parent Child Toy Lending Library was proposed by the Knox United Church Community Outreach Committee and further expanded by Brandon Resource Teachers Dorothy Bowlby and Isla Kennedy in 1973. The Toy Library's goals were to encourage family play by providing fun educational toys and games to members. The Library was run by volunteer members until 2014
