Name of creator
Knox Presbyterian Church, in the Manitoba community of Brandon, first appears in the Synod Journal in 1906 as a Mission station with Mr. D. McLeod, B.A. as the missionary in charge. A church was built in 1910. In 1925, Knox Presbyterian Church officially joined the United Church of Canada and became Knox United Church.
The records of Brandon - Knox Presbyterian Church came to The United Church of Canada Archives-Conference of Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario as part of a transfer of records from Knox United Church in 1978.
Scope and content
The surviving records of Brandon - Knox Presbyterian Church include: Communion Rolls (1906-1921); records of the Sunday School, including attendance and weekly offerings (1915-1921); and records of the Treasurer, including cash books (1908-1918).
