Administrative history

The Blaris United Church existed in the Manitoban community of Blaris, located northwest of Hamiota in the Rural Municipality of Miniota, from 1925 to 1952. Its predecessor was a Union Church, formed by the local Presbyterian and Methodist congregations. The former Methodist church was used for worship following Union. The charge, presided over by Rev. A.D. Simpson, consisted of Beulah, Blaris and the Birdtail Reserve. The Reserve was soon transferred back to the continuing Presbyterian church but United services were occasionally provided when requested. Isabella joined the charge in 1930 to create the Isabella-Beulah charge. The Blaris United church closed in 1952 and the majority of its congregation joined the Isabella United Church. The building was torn down around 1982.
