Name of creator
Auburn School #146 was founded in 1882 to provide educational services to children of the Auburn, Manitoba area. It closed in 1967 and the district then joined Carberry Consolidated School District. An addition to the school had been built in 1952, due to increased enrollment. Further information on students and teachers can be found in Quest for Roots.
Records have been presented to the Carberry Plains Archives in 1999 by Mrs. D. Martin of the [Auburn area, Manitoba].
Scope and content
Fonds consists of correspondence, minutes (1908-1916, 1917-1921, 1938-1966), cash books (1916-1959), 54 daily attendance registers (1908, 1910-1912, 1914-1918, 1920-1967, missing 1909, 1913, 1919), transfer slips, by-laws. Registers are indexed by students and teachers.
