Administrative history

Assiniboine Methodist Church was part of the High Bluff circuit. The records show that a Sunday School was organized at an April 21st meeting in 1891, with the Rev. J.C. Walker present. The church then, must have been established before that date, but there is no other evidence of its existence before 1890 or after 1896.

Custodial history

The records of the Assiniboine Methodist Church came to The United Church of Canada Archives-Conference of Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario as part of a transfer of records from the High Bluff/Oakland charge in 1979.

Scope and content

The surviving records of the Assiniboine Methodist Church include records of the Sunday School, including minutes and a register dating from 1890 to 1896.
