Administrative history
Arizona Methodist Church existed as a congregation in the Manitoba community of Arizona, southeast of Austinin the Rural Municipality of North Norfolk, from 1884 to 1925. The first church services were held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Roseberry and were conducted by The Rev. J.W. Bell from Carberry in 1884. At the time, Rev. Bell also served the Sidney, Austin and Wellwood congregations. It became part of the Sidney circuit when the Sidney mission was formed in 1889. Once the local school district was formed in 1885, services were held in the school classroom. A Sunday School was started in 1888 and held in the Presbyterian church hall after it was built in 1901. The Presbyterian church, built in 1898, was shared by both the Methodists and Presbyterians. The Methodist congregation continued to use the Presbyterian church until joining The United Church of Canada in 1925.
