History

Cavell Anderson was born in Brisbane, Australia. After graduation from high school, she won a Patricia MacDonald Scholarship to study ballet at the Rosella Hightower Centre de Dance in Cannes. While there, she was invited to join the Royal Winnipeg Ballet as a member of the corps de ballet in 1966. She only danced with the RWB for one season before returning to Australia to become a flight attendant with Ansett and later a member of the ground staff with Qantas. Cavell also taught ballet in Australia.
