Biographical history

Alma (Carmichael) McIntyre (1923-2005)(Date of death - May 18, 2005) collected photographs of the Carberry, Manitoba area. McIntyre was born to Dorothy (Badley) and George Carmichael in [Castle Hill, Manitoba]. She married Steven Murdock McIntyre in 1973. Prior to that she had taken her early education at Castle Hill School, and her high school at Carberry School. Further biographical information is unknown.

Custodial history

Records have been presented to the Carberry Plains Archives in 1997 by Alma C. McIntyre of Vancouver, British Columbia.

Scope and content

Fonds consists of black and white photographs showing local people, especially of students and teachers, the British Commonwealth Training Station, parades, Rip Chords orchestra, Rex Cafç, the Fort Osborne Barracks in Winnipeg, buildings at Camp Shilo, and the Carberry Collegiate Institute.
