Giorgio (George) Barone once resided at 177 Victoria Avenue East. He was orginally from Italy coming in Winnipeg 1949 or 1952 (sources vary) He was the sculpture who numerous sculpture in Manitoba including Hi Neighbour Sam. He worked for CBC-TV as a set designer and also owned his own studio, Barone Artistics. The family moved to the
Kelowna. Him and his wife Marina had three children, Ermanno, Tonay and Milvia. Milivia apparently graduated from TCI in 1964. The family moved to Kelowna, BC around 1980. George passed away in December 1992 and Ermanno passed away in 2014.

Transcona resident involved in the Girl Guides as a leader.

Member of Transcona Baseball Club Junior Champions in 1929 and played second base for the Transcona Intermediate Baseball Club which was Manitoba Provincial Champion in 1931. Remained active in this sport. Henry’s wife Mary Simpson was first married to Jack Miller whom she had a son with named Curtis Miller. Mary Simpson later remarried Henry Bangartt circa 1922.

Worked in CNR Transcona shops starting as call boy and later in the roundhouse. Brother to M. Bruce.

Hilda Audette is a Transcona resident who worked for the Transcona News. Married to Stephen Audette, who was a volunteer fireman and worked at the CNR Transcona Shops

b. May 24th 1884 on his father's farm, Grey [or Bruce?] County, ON. Worked in Grand Trunk Pacific Railway drafting office in Montreal beginning 1902 as a machinist apprentice. Became supervisor of the apprentice classes in Toronto, 1905. In 1910 he was Chief Draughtsman with Grant Trunk Western at Battle Creek, Michigan. In 1912 he transferred to the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway as Chief Draughtsman, Mechanical Department in Winnipeg. Worked at CNR Transcona until retirement in 1949. Married Jennie May Henderson. Travelled extensively and kept up lifelong hobbies of photography, painting, and history. d. 18 October 1983.
