General note
The 181st battalion was part of the Second Contingent of the Canadian Expeditionary Force. Forces mobilized and trained in the winter of 1914-1915 and sailed for England in the spring of 1915. Lieutenant-Colonel David Wilson Beaubier (1864-1938) led the 181st Battalion. It was disbanded after the war.
